a HUGE, really big THANK YOU! your thoughtfulness and generosity touched deeply

this summarizes my experience at Warrior Camp.

first and foremost a HUGE, heartfelt, and deeply grateful thank you for your supporting Warrior Camp. the look they had in their eyes of feeling so special that someone donated a gift to them is priceless.  we had a closing ceremony.  we were in a circle.  individually, they each received a certificate which had a picture of them with a horse from equine therapy on it. deep and meaningful words were exchanged amongst the warriors about the person receiving the certificate.  then, i would walk over to them, hand them their new yoga mat, look directly into their eyes and say "for your journey." my eyes are tearing up sharing those moments with you. every single one of those warriors holds place in my heart.

yes, it was beautiful, it was ugly, it was hard, it was sooo much laughter. it strengthens my resolve that war is not the answer and it is solidifies the fact that they are part of my dharma.  it is mine to do; to hold space for them, to support them and to help them heal with the tools and wisdom a yoga practice gives us.

obviously, I knew for a while that teaching and teaching yoga was my dharma (my purpose).  what I didn't know was the Divine had a bigger idea for me.  the way this opportunity came to me was so easy and effortless, it truly was guided by an intelligence and purpose. all it took was a simple "yes, I will do it" and my heart, my soul, my life has been forever changed...changed in the most beautiful and profound way!

so my dear friends, say yes! say yes to the offer, the idea, the opportunities that come to you, especially those you did not directly seek.  there is a purpose and, more importantly, a beautiful gift in it.

light your lamp & you light the world
