let's talk about the science of ayurveda. we have 2 offerings coming this spring based in eastern science: a spring cleanse starting april 3rd and introduction to the elements april 20th.
ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of medicine focused on the holistic well-being of individuals. It emphasizes balancing three doshas—vata, pitta, and kapha—to maintain health. ayurvedic practices include dietary guidelines, herbal remedies, yoga, and lifestyle recommendations tailored to an individual's unique constitution. the goal is to prevent illness and promote optimal health by aligning with natural principles.
participating in a seasonal cleanse can be driven by various reasons. Some individuals seek a physical reset to alleviate doshic imbalance symptoms, while others aim to clear mental fog and enhance mindfulness. certain participants use the cleanse as a strategy to rekindle willpower or alleviate symptoms related to chronic conditions. additionally, some value the communal support and accountability that comes with incorporating cleansing into their wellness practices.
